For a 12-year old Lhasa Apso, I think he’s pretty active. Eats too much, sleeps a lot, but generally doing well. Flora seems to be helping keep him healthy.
Totally convinced this is keeping our senior rescue dog (Abe, and yes, he's precious) regular and balanced! We got samples at our rescue shelter, Muttville, and have been ordering ever since!
We received our first bottle of Pebble Naturals Flora pre and probiotics when we picked up our foster dog from Muttville rescue in May, 2021. Our foster dog was in bad shape. We credit part of her recovery to using Flora. It worked so well for our foster that we started giving it to our other two dogs. Now, almost a year later, our foster dog is a foster "win" (she's a permanent member of our pack) and we are regular customers of Pebble Naturals Flora. Works great for all of them and we regularly recommend it to our friends with their own dog packs.
Gomer has been taking the probiotics supplement daily since he had a 3-week bout of tummy trouble. Once we got it cleared up, he has been perfectly fine since and I think Flora is a big help with that. It's great to have a supplement option that is affordable and local.
We adopted 7 year old AddyRose from Muttville in November, 2021. She is a Chihuahua mix. She must have had a really tough time prior to being rescued because she came with several issues including gut problems. Thankfully, we received a box of Pebbles Naturals.
She does not have tummy/gut issues with the Pebble Natural Flora . She thinks she is a vacuum cleaner and eats everything off of the floor including spiders, this habit tends to create diarrhea problems. If her Mom (that's me) forgets to mix the Flora in her real food, after a few days she will develop problems. These are corrected, nor do they occur, if the Flora is sprinkled on her food. The best thing is that Miss AddyRose is happy and so is her Mom. Pebble Naturals make incredible products!
DR. KATE MEZAN’S Consultation Notes
Maintaining a healthy digestive tract is essential to your pet’s overall health. The small and large intestines are Inhabited by literally millions of bacteria and other microorganisms, creating an internal ecosystem that helps to perform a range of vital life functions.Sometimes referred to as the “forgotten organ”, these roles include:
✓ Digestion and absorption of nutrients
✓ Maintenance of the intestinal lining to protect against invading pathogens
✓ Stimulation of the immune system
Understanding the interplay between overall health and the intestinal microbiome is an especially active area of medical research, and this list continues to expand as we learn more.
Take it especially when...
A quality probiotic supplement can be given daily to healthy pets of all ages. Administering probiotics proactively helps support a healthy immune system before illness can arise and may help prevent episodes of gastrointestinal upset.
Probiotics can also be especially useful in certain scenarios where gut flora is likely to be disturbed:
