Our Pups Love Shine!

We were given a supply of Shine when we adopted senior pups, and we're sold on it! It's really made a difference in their skin and coats, which (due to both age and some rough living on the streets) were not in the best shape. It helped restore their skin & coat health, and now it's become a regular part of their routine. They also love the taste! It adds a nice treat to their bland kidney diet. :)

Shine

Our very senior poodle mix rescue had bad skin and terrible fur. We started the Shine immediately and within a short time she had a luxurious curly poodle coat with no skin issues at all. Our vet was very impressed! We will definitely keep using Shine.

These are great!

These are great - I was a bit skeptical if the twist off top would really work, but it does! Our dog likes the taste as well.

Omega 3s

Providing your pet with a high quality Omega-3 supplement derived from fish oil is an easy way to boost these levels and improve your pet’s overall well-being. While best known for improving coat quality, the benefits of supplementing your pet’s diet with Omega-3 fatty acids reach far beyond lustrous fur. Like humans, dogs are unable to synthesize their own Omega-3s and must obtain them through either diet or supplementation.

Unfortunately, the majority of commercial kibbles do not contain the amount currently recommended for optimal health.

DR. KATE MEZAN’S Consultation Notes

OMEGA-3S AND HEALTHY SKIN

In pets with mild disease, Omega-3 supplementation alone may be sufficient. In pets with more severe disease, supplements may need to be combined with other strategies such as:

✓Over-the-counter antihistamines

✓Medicated shampoos

✓Steroids or other prescription medications

✓Hypoallergenic diets

OMEGA-3S: HEALTH BENEFITS BEYOND SKIN

With their ability to fight inflammation, Omega-3s are increasingly used to manage many other common chronic diseases of dogs and cats. These include:

✓Joint disease and arthritis

✓Chronic kidney disease

✓Heart disease

Take it especially when...

Allergic skin disease is one of the most common presenting complaints in veterinary general practice and can have a huge impact on a pet’s quality of life.

Typical clinical signs include:

Hair loss and poor coat quality

Rashes

Excessive licking, chewing or scratching
